Daniel Larkin

full stack software engineer building web, mobile, and desktop applications.

Des Moines, Iowa

About

I'm a full stack engineer who likes owning things end-to-end — from the first schema sketch to the pipeline that ships it. Most of my work has been at early-stage startups and as an independent contractor, where there's no one else to hand a problem to. That's made me comfortable making architecture calls, shipping quickly, and living with the consequences of my own decisions. Before software, I managed disaster recovery projects at FEMA — planning multi-phase work, coordinating stakeholders, and navigating dense federal regulations. That discipline transfers surprisingly well to building software that has to actually work.
